Vikram and Shriya win hearts with salsa moves

Susi Ganesan's 'Kanthaswamy' has been shot in a mighty peppy manner with stylish Computer Generated Imagery oozing with the vibrancy of youth. A major highlight of this film is that a song titled 'Mamamia' set to tunes by Devi Sri Prasad has been shot in Mexico and the style of dancing for this song has been designed with salsa moves.

Salsa is a form of dancing that has effervescent fast moves and yet retains the splendor of grace. Huge numbers of local salsa dancers were roped in for this song and a wondrous point to be noted is that both Vikram and Shriya who are new to this form of dancing won accolades for the way they performed in front of the camera. This song has reportedly come out very well and will showcase the spirit of the film.

Sources say that Vikram plays a kleptomaniac (someone with an irrational urge to steal in the absence of an economic motive) in the film, due to which he undergoes some problems. The film also is moralistic with the protagonist belting out the evil intent of a villainous gang.

'Marmayogi' and Shriya – TOTAL STRANGERS

It was reported a few days earlier that Shriya would play the heroine in Kamal Haasan's 'Marmayogi'. But then the news has turned out to be totally false. Shriya was in Chennai for a brief period and has categorically denied her association with 'Marmayogi'.

“I was quite surprised to see the media go hammer and tongs on me being a part of 'Marmayogi' because nobody had approached me to be a part of the film. If such an opportunity came, I'll most definitely be one of the happiest people in the world”, says Shriya.

The gorgeous actress has her hands full at the moment and is part of Vikram's 'Kanthasamy' and was in Mexico for the film's shooting. She is slated to start filming for 'Jaggubhai' soon where she plays Sarath Kumar's daughter. K. S. Ravikumar would direct that film.

Shriya will be pairing with Dhanush once again as she will be joining the successful 'Polladhavan' team soon, for their next film. Director Vetri Maaran is currently coming up with a story that's expected to have a slick and compelling narration.

The two Hollywood projects that Shriya has been part of have reportedly shaped up very well. 'The Other End of the Line' produced by Ashok Amritraj has the actress play a Call Center employee who falls in love with a customer just by listening to his voice.

The other English movie she is working in is Deepa Mehta's 'What's Cooking' where she'll share screen space with Seema Biswas and Lisa Ray.

Shriya is also part of a Hindi project titled 'Mission Istanbul' which is expected to release by the end of this month.

If there is someone who can be termed ON DEMAND – Shriya would be a perfect fit.

Shriya to pair Kamal Haasan

Terrific news has reached the ears of Shriya. The cute actress, who acted opposite Rajinikanth in 'Sivaji', will share the screen with Kamal Haasan now.

Reports suggest that she has been urged to act in Kamal Haasan's multilingual project 'Marmayogi'.

''I went over to cloud nine when they approached me to act opposite Kamal sir in ‘Marmayogi’. However, talks are still on and nothing has been finalized yet.'

When asked for the reason, Shriya said, 'Since I am already committed to a couple of projects including ‘Kandasamy’, ‘Jaggubai’ and a Hollywood film produced by Ashok Amritraj, I need to squeeze some time in between to be part in this prestigious project'.

On Kamal Haasan, she says, ' he is a talented actor, who has a passion for cinema. To be part of his project is a delight for any actress'.

Shriya plays a Call Center employee in the Hollywood film and ends up falling in love with a foreigner. How they meet and does love really blossom forms the rest of the film. Shriya incidentally has won the heart of Ashok Amritraj with her portrayal.

Sneha as Sarath's mother?

The latest buzz doing rounds in Kollywood is that Sneha will be playing Sarath Kumar's mother in K S Ravikumar's next directorial venture after ‘Dasavadharam’.

Sources say there are two Sarath Kumar in the movie and Sneha plays senior Sarath's wife. The junior (son) Sarath will have Shreya shaking her legs with him.

Sarath's ‘1977’, directed by Dinesh Kumar, is nearing completion and would be released very soon.

Shriya in Sarath's next

Sarath Kumar is as busy a person can be, maintaining a decent balance between his film careers as well as fulfilling the demands on the political front.

Seems like time management is the key! Sarath Kumar is all set to begin his next venture with director K.S. Ravikumar. We had already informed you that Sneha has been signed for this film as the heroine. There is a latest development with regards to the cast of this film. One more addition to the film is actress Shriya who was recently confirmed as the other heroine for this project.

This picture that has yet not been titled is being produced by Radhika Sarath Kumar's Radaan pictures as well as Sun TV.

This picture has a couple of brownie points too. One is that director K.S. Ravikumar will be directing this venture and the other is that Sarath Kumar is believed to be donning a dual role for this project.

If we track back to the past Sarath Kumar's dual-role projects like 'Suryavansam' and 'Natpukaga' both have been super hits.

Not only that all Sarath-Ravi Kumar projects too have been crowd pullers. With this film having two positive sentiments, it is most likely that it will be a super hit like this hero's other ventures.

We wish this team the best of luck in this venture and expect a wholesome entertainer from the experts!

Shreya replaces Trisha

The successful combination of Thiruvilayadal Arambam is once again joining together. Dhanush and Shreya pair will play in the Tamil remake of Hindi hit Jab We Met soon. Initially, the producer had fixed Trisha for the lead lady role that was played by Kareena Kapoor in the original.

But later Shreya replaced Trisha and the producer of the film Moser Baer also confirmed the same. Interestingly, Trisha is the heroine of Moser Baer's forthcoming big budget film Abhiyum Naanum. But she has failed to maintain the rapport with her producer for their next venture.

Jab We Met was a big hit in Hindi, which featured Shahid Kapoor and Kareena in lead roles. Dhanush will return to this project after the completion of his ongoing Padikkathavan.
