Rajini mania kickstarts as 'Kuselan' nears completion

A plethora of emotions with a lingering look back at the past with the startling reality of the present is what 'Kuselan' is all about. In this remake of a Malayalam film named 'Katha Parayumpol' superstar Rajinikanth plays himself.

The superstar's acting portion has been completed. The movie still has some portions of Nayantara to be canned and even that is expected to be over in a day or two at the Ramoji Rao film city in Hyderabad. Some scenes involving Pasupathy and Meena are also pending. After that, full fledged post production work is slated to begin.

It is a moving tale of two boys who grow up together as thick buddies only to find themselves taken in different paths. One ends up as the superstar in the movies and the other a struggling barber.

Five beautiful ladies grace the screen along with the Superstar. While Nayantara plays the superstar's lady love, Trisha and Sneha feature in song sequences. Meena plays the struggling barber's (Pasupathy) wife. Mamtha Mohandas plays an assistant director in the film. Interestingly P. Vasu, the director of the film plays himself in front of the camera.

Intense sequences have been picturized especially when the shooting crew along with the superstar land up in the same place the barber's saloon is located. How would it be when the two childhood friends meet?

Rajinikanth has proved his mettle in charged up emotional scenes with legendary performances in movies like 'Mullum Malarum'. But then the larger than life superstar image was expected with every release of his, by his die hard fans. With 'Kuselan', Rajinikanth has got the opportunity to showcase his inner strengths as a prolific actor.

'Kuselan' could very well be the film to watch out for….what with a gripping story line and the magic of the superstar all rolled into one.
